Who operates this website

This website, lorriekazan.com, is operated by Lorrie Kazan. For privacy questions or requests, email lorrie@lorriekazan.com.

This notice covers information handled through this website, initial enquiries, newsletter signup links, and online orders. Before providing sensitive information during a private reading, ask Lorrie about any notes or recordings and how those records will be handled.

Information collected and why

  • Enquiries: Contact forms and emails provide information such as your name, email address, subject, and message. This is used to respond and discuss requested services. Messages are delivered through email services. The contact form sends enquiries to lorrie@lorriekazan.com. It is configured not to store submission copies in WordPress or include visitor IP addresses in the form messages. Hosting and security logs are separate. Contacting Lorrie does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter.
  • Orders: Purchases may involve contact details, ordered items, payment status, and transaction references for fulfilment, support, and recordkeeping. Payment providers handle the payment details submitted to them.
  • Newsletters: Signup links take you to Constant Contact, which handles information submitted on its signup page. Subscribe only if you want the newsletter. Unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter.
  • Operation and security: Hosting and security services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and technical logs to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and investigate faults.

Please do not include payment-card details, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in the contact form or an email. Provide only what is needed for your enquiry.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, information needed to answer a service request or fulfil an order is processed to take steps at your request before a contract or to perform that contract. Security and ordinary administration rely on legitimate interests in providing a reliable service and preventing abuse, subject to your rights. Records required by law are processed to meet legal obligations. Optional website technologies and newsletter subscriptions rely on consent where required. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Cookies and analytics

Necessary technologies support website functions, security, shopping carts, and saving privacy choices. The optional Google Fonts service is controlled through cookie preferences. If accepted, your browser contacts Google to load the Architects Daughter font, disclosing technical information such as your IP address. The standard font is used if you reject it. You can accept or reject optional technologies and change your choice using Cookie settings. See the Cookie Policy for details of individual services.

With your consent to Statistics, Google Analytics 4 measures page visits and website use using cookie identifiers, device and browser information, referral information, and interaction events. Google receives technical information including your IP address when requests are sent; GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. Analytics does not load before you give consent, and rejecting Statistics keeps it off. Withdraw consent using Cookie settings. Burst Statistics remains disabled. See Google’s privacy policy and Google Analytics data safeguards.

The sharing buttons provided by Scriptless Social Sharing use ordinary links and local icons. Viewing the buttons does not contact a social network. Choosing a sharing link takes you to that provider, where its own privacy and cookie rules apply. These links remain available when optional website cookies are rejected.

Providers and external websites

Providers involved in delivering the service may handle information, including Bluehost for hosting, email providers for correspondence, Constant Contact for newsletters, and the payment provider you choose, such as PayPal. Technical administrators may have access needed to maintain the website.

External links, payment pages, and newsletter signup pages are operated by their respective providers. See Bluehost/Newfold privacy information, Constant Contact’s privacy notice, and PayPal’s privacy statement.

International processing

Lorrie and the website’s hosting and email operations are based in the United States. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. For visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, this can involve international transfers. Contact the privacy email above for details of providers and transfer safeguards applicable to your information.

Retention

Retention depends on why information was collected: enquiries for handling requests and follow-up; orders for fulfilment, support, accounting, and applicable legal requirements; newsletter information for managing subscriptions and honouring unsubscribe requests; and security records for operation and incident investigation. Legal obligations or disputes may require longer retention. Contact Lorrie to request deletion or information about your records.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent. Email lorrie@lorriekazan.com. Do not send identity documents unless a proportionate verification step is requested. GDPR requests will normally receive a response within one month, subject to legally permitted extensions and exceptions. You may complain to the data protection authority where you live, work, or believe a violation occurred.
